FULL-TIME DEPUTY CLERK

The City of Spicer is seeking a full-time Deputy Clerk. Under the general direction of the City Administrator, the Deputy Clerk is responsible for administrative support, issuing various city licenses, permits and cemetery plots, utility billing, payroll, accounts receivables, accounts payables, assisting and creating Dethlef Community Center rentals and activities, and serve as an election judge.

A valid driver’s license and high school diploma or GED required. Associates degree with coursework in business, or related field and moderate administrative office support, word processing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must be able to work independently, multiple tasks, be detail-oriented, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure. Municipal experience desired. Banyon software experience preferred. Communication skills a must. Salary range is between $20.00 - $25.00 an hour based on qualifications. Benefits include vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, and 100% paid employee health insurance, dental, vision, accident, cancer, and life insurance. On-call wage when Dethlef Community Center has a double rental.
